Co.De

The Co.De. project launched by the Fundació Privada Trams in Spain in cooperation with partners from Italy, Bulgaria, Greece, Portugal, Romania and Turkey, aims to support Europe in tackling early school leaving of young students, through providing of concrete and innovative e-tools to implement co-design learning paths in classrooms, and to contribute to upskill secondary schools’ teachers accordingly. It will foster a new, innovative, and multidisciplinary approach to teaching and learning at schools, promoting innovation in education design and delivery and introducing more “student-centered approaches” with students. The project will provide concrete and digital tools to implement co-design learning paths in classrooms and to upskill teachers’ competence on co-design learning.

The addressing the early school leaving of young students, embracing the educational revolution towards co-design learning as the general objective of the project generates other 3 specific objectives such as:

  • foster a new, innovative and multidisciplinary approach to teaching and learning the co-design method at schools, promoting innovation in education design and delivery, teaching methods, assessment techniques and learning environments and introducing more “student-centered approaches”;
  • support the upskilling of teachers’ competence towards co-design;
  • provide digital tools to implement co-design learning in classrooms.

The first thread of activities will be aimed at delivering a competence model on co-design and the micro-learning opportunities on co-design learning, both addressed to EU teachers from secondary schools.

The second thread of activities will be aimed at delivering a co.de. toolkit 4 classrooms, a Moodle-based platform, designed and developed to support secondary schools (teachers and students), in trying to use and adopt concretely the codesign learning in classroom through a multidisciplinary approach.

Those who will directly benefit from this project are teachers from EU secondary schools upskilling and reskilling their knowledge towards co-design learning, enhancing the skills linked to teaching activity and face the challenges in education. They will benefit of:

  • a new competence model on the skills to adopt co-design learning;
  • learning snacks to reskill and update their skills;
  • an innovative e-space with digital education contents inspired by co-design to be used in class;
  • closer link with their students.

Indirectly the project will help students (12-18 years old) to understand the new approach of co-design methodology applied to their training, becoming more aware and responsible of their own education process; EU secondary schools; labor market (more trained workforce); civil society (taking part at their development processes at school, will be aware and open mind citizen able to participate actively to social life).
