The much-anticipated DIGITEDU 2023 project kicked off its transformative webinar series in July, ushering in a new era of digital education. Organized by the European Digital Learning Network ETS, in collaboration with esteemed members, the series comprised four unmissable online appointments, all offered free of charge to a global audience.
The inaugural webinar, “Digitalisation of Work Based Learning,” took place on the 20th of July, captivating participants with insights into the future of work-based learning. Attendees had the opportunity to delve into cutting-edge online tools designed to enhance the work-based learning experience, setting the stage for a dynamic and interactive series.
The second webinar, held on the 25th of July, focused on “Digital Skills for Adults and Seniors.” Co-organized with IDEC SA and Emphasys Centre, this session addressed the critical need for digital literacy among adults and seniors, providing practical solutions and strategies to bridge the digital divide.
On the 14th of September, the series continued with a captivating exploration of “Digital Games for Language Learning.” Co-organized with the Istituto dei Sordi di Torino, this webinar highlighted the engaging potential of digital games in language acquisition, demonstrating innovative approaches to language learning.
The grand finale took place on the 15th of September, with a webinar on “STEM in Secondary Education.” In collaboration with the Institute for Contemporary Education, this session delved into the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in secondary education, showcasing the pivotal role of STEM in preparing students for the digital future.
The DIGITEDU 2023 webinar series not only provided a platform for knowledge exchange but also fostered collaboration among key players in the digital education landscape. As the project continues to unfold, it leaves a lasting impact on the global educational community, inspiring innovation and driving the evolution of digital learning.
