Brian started his career at the Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) as Malta’s National Contact Point (NCP) and Programme Committee Member (PCM) for the Information Society Technologies (IST) Programme, established under the European Community’s Fifth and Sixth Framework Programme (FP6). He also held the post of FP6 Projects Coordinator for all projects managed by MCST, and was a Research Assistant to the Policy Unit. Brian has over 15 years’ experience in developing and managing EC projects; and has a thorough understanding of EU competitiveness, innovation, environmental policies and related funding programmes. He has been involved in over 30 EU funded projects.  He is currently a PhD Candidate at the Institute of Earth Systems, UoM.
