On the 28th of February, the President of the European Digital Learning Network Mr. Coppola participated as speaker to an the “Seniors under attack – disinformation targeted at Europe’s older people”online talk organised by MEP Maxová (5 min) OF SD together with Jaroslav Valůch, Transitions, Vera Hoermann, DIGITOL, Karolina Śmigiel, Seniors on the Web, Bohumil Kartous, CEO at Prague Innovation Institute, spokesperson to Czech Elves. The webinar, held via Facebook live, focused on how to prevent threats and risks of adult citizens and seniors in the EU when it comes to disinformation and fake news. The speakers shared their experiences and lessons learnt from their professional expertise concerning measures to tackle such an issue. The webinar aimed at trying to find good starting points to create evidence-based advice for policy makers and stakeholders dealing with a very fragile part of the EU population.
