A SMART year for COUNT ME IN

One year ago COUNT ME IN – a European project co-funded by the Erasmus plus programme – took off, developed by a transnational partnership involving countries from all over Europe: Spain, Croatia, Italy, Latvia, Kosovo, and Poland. As you could already read here, the project supports the development of a quality learning offer in Adult education promoting the use of technology in educational and civil participation processes.

It’s been a year already, and the consortium has created a detailed database including examples of good practice in terms of projects, ideas and change related to the concept of SMART. Numerous cards of SMART initiatives cultivated and grown world-wide were drafted in different key areas: water management, waste management, energy management, urban mobility, e-governance, citizen services, and data-mining. On the project website, one may find – in real time – the platform and its updated resources.

A new, challenging – yet highly interesting – activity is about to be starting off: the draft of teaching and learning materials for an e-course. It will be facing the issue of both the employability of adult learners and the widening of adult educators’ competences. Six months from now this activity will be nearing completion, setting the foundations of the project event that will take place in Zadar (Croatia) on April 2020, whose focus will be on both the COUNT ME IN outputs: the platform and the e-course.
