Which are the competences that make a youth succeed in life?

Have you ever asked yourself which are the competences that make a person succeed in life?
The European Commission, the DG EAC, has just launched a PUBLIC CONSULTATION about the key competences to LIFE LONG LEARNING to update the RECCOMANDATIONS on KEY COMPETENCES to lifelong learning 2006. Competences as KNOWLEDGE + SKILLS + ATTITUDES in the fields of literacy, citizenship, entrepreneurship and digital, for instance.
Goal?
The European Commission wants to have a shared common ground about the key competences needed in life in order to foster the opportunities for learner development in training and education. The consultation aims also to explore how to support the skills assessment and the professional development of the teachers involved into education. In particular, the consultation wants to point out: the NEW priorities areas that are necessary to address the needs of the current education system, strength and weakness of the Key Competences Framework 2006 and the proper tools to support key competences for all.
Who?
Being a public consultation, all citizens and organizations are invited to take action and generate a meaningful contribution. In particular, the European Commission aims at involving policy makers and educational authorities, education and training providers and network, youth workers, social partners, career guidance services, researchers and academics in education and training.
