PRIMARY EDUCATION EVERYWHERE

Taking the chance of the article last week about girls in STEM, this week we want to continue talking about kinds and technology.

E-learning for Kids – Founding Dreams is the name of the platform that wants to be a source for childhood learning available for all the children of the world. It has been founded in 2004 and it is a no profit foundation for kids (5 to 12 years old). The aim is to provide equal access to education for all children living in different parts of the world, from the most developed countries to the ones still in development.
Thanks to the offline use mode, students can access to learning materials also OFFLINE downloading the materials.
Between all the courses that the platform provides such as math, science, computer and keyboarding, there are also a few interesting courses which are not usually provided by regular and formal school programmes which are aimed at increasing the environmental skills, health, language arts and life skills for children.
For instance, having a deeper look at the contents of life skills, there are 15 areas of interests such as: choosing the right career, bullying, emotions, family, stress etc. which can provide to the kids an insight also about how to deal with decision making, feeling and everyday challenges.
The platform was founded by Nick van Dam because: “one of the most powerful applications of the internet is the opportunity to deliver high quality digital education – which are designed to enhance the effectiveness of learning for a new generation of children. We have the duty as a society to provide all children around the world with the best learning solutions to be successful in their lives. It is the dream of the people of the e-Learning for kids Foundation to make this a reality”.
The e-learning for kids foundation has offices in the USA and The Netherlands and is recognized as a 501 (c ) 3 Foundation in the USA and as a CBF/Anbi Foundation (Stichting) in the Netherlands.
Nowadays the founders of the platform are building a community to merge innovation and childhood education both for educators and parents.

Have a look at the platform and encourage your children to use it: www.e-learningforkids.org, IT’S FUN!
